Welcome to Mount Tully Vines

home_dnWe commenced planting the vineyard in 1995 to supply quality grapes to the winemakers of the Granite Belt wine region in Southeast Queensland. Queensland Wines over the past few years have greatly improved in quality with a greater focus on grapegrowing and winemaking techniques.

The vineyard is situated 950m above sea level on the slopes of Mt Tully southeast of Stanthorpe. Temperatures can reach -10°C during winter and the average maximum summer temperature is 27°C. The mild summer temperatures and regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) practices enable the grapes to slowly develop flavour ripe qualities ideal for winemaking.

Following a successful 2002 vintage, we decided to introduce our own range of wine. Since then we have survived drought, heavy rain during harvest and flocks of Currawongs to produce award winning wines.

We now have a cellar door at The Tulip House, 10 Bents Road Ballandean. Drop in and talk to Ross and Anna and taste our great wines.

GOLD FOR MOUNT TULLY

After years of winning bronze and silver medals, Mount Tully have won gold at the Queensland Wine Awards in Nov 08. Three red wines were entered and all 3 won a medal.

Another award for Mt Tully

The Mt Tully Vines 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot received a Bronze Medal at the Australian Small Winemakers Show early in November. We were also pleasantly surprised with the high score that our new sweet red, Mother in Law’s Tongue received, just out of the medals.
